Dual Credit

Dual credit courses are advanced high school courses that allow a high school student to simultaneously earn college and high school credit while saving on overall costs of a college education. For more information check out the Dual Credit page.

Advanced Placement (AP)

Advanced Placement is a national program, run by the College Board, to provide opportunities to do college-level AP classes, taught by trained CHS instructors, preparing them to take the national AP exam in May. For more information check out the Advanced Placement page.

Transferring College Credits

The credits earned in dual credit classes are transferable to most colleges and universities nationwide; however, families are encouraged to check with prospective colleges for details on transferable credit.

Expanded Option Program (EOP)

Senate Bill 300 creates opportunities for high school students age 16 and over to take courses on a college campus that are not offered by their home high school. Interested students must meet with their Academic Counselor as well as an advisor at Clackamas Community College. Students must provide their own transportation and must take CCC placement tests and score at the appropriate level.
